Kristin grew up in Bradenton and received her training in Dental Hygiene from Manatee Community College, now recognized as State College of Florida. In her program, she was given the designation of “Queen of Polishing” and “Best Sense of Humor!” Kristin enjoys making a connection with her patients and seeing a difference in their dental health and overall health.
In her free time, Kristin enjoys photography, modeling, shopping, traveling and spending time with her husband, David!
Jeffa grew up in West Virginia, but moved to Florida in 1996. She completed the Dental Assisting program at Manatee Technical Institute and worked as a dental assistant here at North River Dental for several years. Wanting to continue her dental education, Jeffa enrolled at the State College of Florida where she received her Dental Hygiene degree. Jeffa was consistently on the Dean’s List and received the “Golden Scaler” award. After graduating from her hygiene program, Jeffa again decided to continue her dental education and is now certified to administer dental anesthetic and as an instructor for the anesthetic course! She serves as a board member for the dental hygiene program at SCF. She loves working with amazing dental professionals and truly believes that a happy, healthy life can begin with a great dental cleaning.
In her spare time, Jeffa enjoys traveling, playing golf, running, volunteering and attending Rays baseball games. She loves just spending time with her family and friends.
Sybil grew up on the seacoast of New Hampshire but moved to Florida for a second time in 2014. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from New Hampshire Technical Institute but also attended the University of NH. She has been a dental hygienist for 17 years, truly cares about her patient’s health and especially enjoys doing children’s first time cleanings.
In her spare time, Sybil enjoys doing anything fun with her son Xander and daughter Zoey, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves anything to do with the ocean and you can find her snorkeling, diving, sailing, or collecting fossilized shark teeth. She has also spent time volunteering at the Dolphin Research Center and Mote Marine Aquarium and is trained to help rescue and care for stranded mammals.
Angela is originally from Fort Myers, FL and moved up to this area about 4 years ago with her husband, Ryan, and her 3 dogs Abby, Dixie, and Stewie. Angela attended hygiene school at Edison State College, now recognized as Florida Southwestern College where she finished at the top of her class. She loves seeing her patients overall oral health improve and loves to build lasting relationships with them.
In her spare time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, running, and traveling.
Sara grew up in Palmetto and completed her training in Dental Assisting at Manatee Technical Institute. A certified dental assistant through the National Dental Assisting Board since 2008, Sara also holds her Dental Radiographer license. She has been a member of the North River Dental team for over 5 years! She enjoys providing patients at North River Dental the best care, and helping to improve their smiles! In the community, Sara has participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and shopping.
Jessica grew up in Bradenton and completed her training in Dental Assisting at Manatee Technical Institute. She has been a dental assistant for 8 years and has been with North River Dental for 5 years. She enjoys making temporary crowns and seeing her patients smile bigger and brighter after simply refining their smile with their temps!
Jessica and her husband, Josh, have a son, Tyler. In her spare time, she likes to take Ty to the beach and for walks around the neighborhood, and she loves to spend time with her parents and sisters, who also live in the Bradenton area.
Kelli grew up right up the road in Apollo Beach and completed her training in Dental Assisting at the Concorde Career Institute in 1993. She LOVES that dentistry is one of the only health care professions in which you can see instant results and that changing a patient’s smile can increase their self-confidence and attitude. She enjoys being a part of that transformation. Kelli was a part of the North River Dental team from 1997-2005 and was excited to come back to the NRD “family” after returning from North Carolina in 2010.
She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Michael, for over 15 years and they have one son Zachary. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys spending time with her family and is an active advocate for Autism Awareness and helping her son, Zach, manage Asperger syndrome.
Bobbie Jo grew up in New Port Richey. She has been a dental assistant for 18 years and has been a key member of the North River Dental team for 11 years. Bobbie Jo is the clinical team supervisor and can be seen popping into the operatories just to say “Hi!” to our patients. She loves the artistry of the dental field and enjoys making temporary crowns. She can truly transform your smile with her temporaries!
Bobbie-Jo has one daughter, Kate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, her fiance, Dan, and his two boys. They can often be found camping, enjoying concerts at the Amphitheater and just enjoying activities outdoors.
Dena grew up in Bradenton, Florida and attended Manatee Technical Institute. While completing her dental assisting program, Dena interned here at North River Dental. She was such a fabulous assistant that we hired her immediately upon her graduation! She enjoys making a difference in patients’ lives by treating their smiles! Knowing that she has helped her patients means so much to her!
Dena and her boyfriend, Mikie, are excited to be parents of son, Mason, born in July of 2013! In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, shopping and spending time with friends and family. Dena also participates in community service activities such as the Breast Cancer Walk.
Heidi grew up in the Tampa area and spent her childhood competing in the local horse show circuit. She graduated from Erwin Technical Center in 2006 for dental assisting. Her favorite part of dentistry is helping patients get their smile back.
Heidi and her boyfriend Shane reside in Ruskin and are currently completing the finishing touches on a new home. In her spare time, Heidi enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
Natalie moved from Newark, NJ to Port Charlotte, FL when she was 4 years old. She attended Charlotte Technical Center for Dental Assisting. She comes to our office with many years of experience. She enjoys seeing the joy and confidence that patients gain from improving their smile.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her daughter who keeps her very busy reading books, making songs and decorating cupcakes.
Bonnie grew up in Cincinnati, but completed her education here in Florida at the State College of Florida and Manatee Technical Institute. She is the positive voice you will often hear on the other end of the line when you call us as a new patient at North River Dental! When patients arrive, they are sure to notice Bonnie giving a tour or helping all of the NRD patients to feel at home. Bonnie is not only an excellent new patient coordinator, but she also is very knowledgeable about dentistry as she was previously an orthodontist’s assistant. She LOVES working here at NRD because she truly enjoys helping patients get the dental treatment that makes them feel better!
Bonnie and her husband Michael have two children, Sophie and Mikey. Her hobbies include cooking and playing with her kids. She adores her boxer, Gwen, and hopes to rescue many more dogs one day.
Tammy grew up in Northern Maine, but has lived in Florida since 1987. Although Tammy joined North River Dental after a 20-year career in banking and finance, she is a quick study in regards to dentistry! She is currently our Administrative Supervisor and loves meeting all of our patients!
Tammy has been married to her husband, Jeff, for over 20 years and has two step-children and three grand children. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys road cycling, boating, kayaking, reading, photography and traveling.
Jessica grew up in the Bronx, where she completed her education. She is the smiling face that you will see upon check-out and one of the many kind voices you will hear when calling North River Dental! Jessica loves talking with our awesome patients and working with such an amazing group of people.
Jessica and her husband, Luis, have two amazing kids – Abis and Amaya. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and going to the beach as much as possible!
Dava grew up in New York and now lives in the Palmetto area with her husband and four children. She is the first person you see when you come to our office and will warmly greet you with a warm and friendly smile. Dava is currently pursuing a Psychology Degree which she will be finalizing in late 2017. Dava has over fifteen years of experience working in communications and customer service. She is also a motivational speaker for teens in crisis.
Shannon grew up in both New Jersey and here in the Parrish/Bradenton area! She attended Bradenton Christian High School , the University of North Florida, MCC and received her certificate from MTI in dental assisting. As our consultation specialist, Shannon enjoys helping our patients to achieve their dental goals and regaining their confidence!
Shannon and her husband, Ryan, are raising two wonderful boys, Austin and Landon! In her spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time at the beach, going to Rays games and having football Sundays with her family! She is also extremely active in her sons’ little league, serving as the Board Secretary. Shannon also enjoys sharing her time with community services ministries such as the Wounded Warrior project!
Jordann grew up in Palmetto and has lived here her entire life. She attended Palmetto High School and Manatee Technical College, where she obtained her CDA. She began her dental career as an Orthodontic Assistant, and is now at North River Dental as our insurance and billing coordinator. Jordann is married and has 3 children. In her free time, Jordann loves boating, watching reality TV, and enjoying quality time with her family.
