When you arrive for your first visit, we will assist you in gathering all insurance and health information that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. We are a paperless office and immediately compile your information into your electronic chart.
Your comprehensive initial exam will last approximately one hour. It will consist of a Panoramic X-ray (0330) and a full set of intra-oral digital radiographs (0210). In addition, photographs will be taken of your teeth and smile. An intra-oral
examination of the hard and soft tissues will be performed, as well as an oral cancer screening. If you would like, our staff members would be happy to schedule your cleaning appointment and comprehensive exam back-to-back so that your x-rays and cleaning can all be completed on the same day. A complimentary follow-up consultation visit will be arranged so that the doctor can provide an evaluation that will outline your existing dental condition and proposed treatment.
Although we like to have a comprehensive set of x-rays for each of our patients, we understand that toothaches happen! EMERGENCIES ARE ALWAYS WELCOME at North River Dental! If you are a new or existing patient and are having a dental problem, we would be more than happy to see you for an emergency (or limited) exam. During this exam, an x-ray of the problem area will be taken and the doctor will evaluate the area and diagnose the treatment needed. We make every effort to complete the treatment recommended at this visit. However, depending on the scope of the treatment needed, it may be necessary to schedule completion of the treatment at another appointment.
